Dr. Amrendra Kumar is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, School of Biosciences and Technology. He completed Ph.D. in Bioinformatics (RNA-Seq data analysis to understand the molecular responses of Zea mays silk under fungal-infected conditions) from Pondicherry University in 2024, where his doctoral research focused on the Genes identification and drug design with the help of Bioinformatics tools and AI/ML. To his credit, Dr. Kumar has published more than 8 research papers in reputed national and international journals indexed in Scopus and SCI, with an h-index of 5.

I specialize in gene discovery and bioinformatics, with expertise in analyzing plant and human genome/transcriptome data, regulatory networks, and drug design. His research integrates computational biology, omics data analysis, and structural modeling to address challenges in plant improvement, human health, and therapeutics.
