Dr. Aarti Sharma

Assistant Professor

Dr. Aarti Sharma is presently serving as an Assistant Professor in the School of Biological and Life Sciences at Galgotias University, a position she joined in August 2023. She holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences, specializing in the field of Zoology, with a particular emphasis on nano formulations and vector control. 

After Ph.D., Dr. Sharma possesses a research experience of 2.5 years as a project fellow in a project entitled "Attractive Toxic Sugar Bait (ATSB) methods to control mosquitoes in different regions of Delhi and NCR." This project was conducted under the aegis of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, specifically as part of the MERA India initiative. Her research contributions were made during her tenure at Acharya Narendra Dev College, University of Delhi, highlighting her commitment to advancing knowledge in the field. Dr. Sharma's expertise lies at the intersection of Life Sciences, Entomology, Zoology and Nanotechnology, making her an asset to the academic and research community.

  • Best Paper Presentation Award for the first-authored paper entitled “Weeds: Probable Mosquito Control Agents against Dengue Vector, Aedes aegypti L.” at 26th Biennial Conference of the Asian Association for Biology Education Trends in Biology Education and Research: Practices and Challenges, Goa – India, 20 - 23 September 2016.
