Visit to TLM Innovation Fair, DIET Dankaur

School of Education, Galgotias University organized a visit to TLM and Innovation Fair at DIET, Dankaur, G. B. Nagar for all B.Ed. and M.Ed. students accompanied by faculty members.

The event started with a celebration in which students from various schools of G. B. Nagar district participated in dance and singing performances to show their talents in front of all the stakeholders of DIET and all the teachers who participated in the fair. The TLM (Teaching Learning Material) fair aimed to promote innovative teaching practices by showcasing and encouraging the use of effective, creative, and resourceful teaching-learning materials. The event emphasized the importance of TLM in enhancing the learning experience in schools and making education more interactive and engaging for students.

Teachers from different schools of G. B. Nagar participated and exhibited a variety of self-made TLM, which included charts, models, flashcards, and digital learning aids. These materials were designed to simplify complex concepts and make lessons more interactive. The materials were categorized based on subjects like Mathematics, Science, Languages (English, Hindi), Social Studies, and Environmental Education. Emphasis was placed on aligning TLM with the curriculum, ensuring inclusivity, and catering to the diverse learning needs of students. As all the students went to their stalls they conducted live demonstrations about their work and how a teacher can use it in the classroom to make teaching learning process active and interactive for all the students. All the TLM focused on maintaining low cost using locally available materials.

Students were exposed to creative and hands-on teaching materials that made learning more engaging and gave ample ideas on how to make innovative teaching-learning material in the future. This exposure helps in making abstract concepts easier to understand through visual and interactive aids. The fair organized was a significant step toward enhancing the quality of education at the grassroots level. By encouraging the use of innovative and engaging teaching aids, the event contributed to a more interactive and student-centered learning environment. The fair also highlighted the vital role of teacher training in improving educational outcomes and set the stage for future developments in the use of teaching-learning materials in schools.
