The School of Liberal Education at Galgotias University celebrated Teacher's Day on 5th September 2024 with great enthusiasm and heartfelt gratitude. Under the mentorship of Dr. Prof. Anuradha Parasar, the Dean of the School of Liberal Education, the departments of English, Political Science, Psychology, Economics, and Sociology came together to create a memorable and meaningful event. The day was a celebration of the invaluable role that educators play in shaping not only academic minds but also personal growth and character. Students from various departments paid tribute to their teachers with performances, gifts, and heartfelt gestures, making the day special for all involved.
Opening Ceremony and Welcoming of Teachers: The event began with a formal welcome to all the faculty members from the School of Liberal Education. Teachers from the departments of English, Political Science, Psychology, Economics, and Sociology were warmly greeted with a personalized Happy Teacher's Day card, a Pierre Cardin pen, and a box of Cadbury Celebrations. The tokens of appreciation were thoughtfully and a gesture of their deep respect and gratitude toward their mentors.
Cultural Performances by the Students: The students of the School of Liberal Education organized a series of cultural performances that reflected their creativity and appreciation for their teachers. The performances included a variety of art forms, each of which was dedicated to honoring the contributions of educators.Dance Performance by the Psychology Department, Ayushi Sharma and Aastha Shukla, students from the Department of Psychology, performed a vibrant dance that captivated the audience. Their performance was a blend of classical and contemporary styles, symbolizing the dynamic relationship between tradition and modernity in education. The graceful movements and the energy they brought to the stage were a reflection of the respect and admiration they held for their teachers.
Poetry Recitation by Akshita Shrivastava,Akshita Shrivastava, also from the Psychology department, recited a touching poem that beautifully encapsulated the bond between students and teachers. Her words expressed how teachers act as guiding lights in the journey of education, always encouraging students to strive for excellence while nurturing their curiosity and creativity. Anchoring by Ishita and Piyush, the event was smoothly anchored by Ishita and Piyush, who kept the audience engaged and ensured the program proceeded seamlessly. Their eloquent introductions, witty remarks, and genuine interactions added a lively touch to the celebrations. The students of the Economics department added a fun and celebratory touch to the day by organizing a cake-cutting ceremony. This moment was a highlight of the day, as the teachers gathered around to cut a beautifully decorated cake, symbolizing the unity and shared success of the department.
Following the cake-cutting ceremony, the students organized a series of light-hearted games for the teachers, creating an atmosphere of joy and relaxation.
