Mangal Pandey Martyrdom Day was celebrated by NSS Unit-1 at Galgotias University, Greater Noida on 9th April 2024 10.00am at Lecture Theatre Hall A-207,. it’ was a moment to reflect the courage shown by Mangal Pandey. He is renowned as a freedom fighter who dedicated his life to rid the nation of the British raj. He was instrumental in the 1857 uprising, sometimes referred as as the Sepoy Mutiny. He is well-known in India for being one of the country's first freedom fighters. It’s a historical milestone that shown the revolt against the British rule, honoring the sacrifices of freedom fighters, celebrating India’s unity in diversity, and highlighting democratic values.

Dr. Vineeta Khemchandani , Dean SCAT, Galgotias University, Dr Pushpa Chaudhary, Research Head, SCAT and Mrs. Pranjali Mishra, NSS Coordinator graced the auspicious occasion by their presence. Students performed various activities like debate, quiz competition to mark the event successful. The event was beneficial and useful to the volunteers. This Program organized by NSS Programme Officer Dr. Arvind Kumar, Departmental Coordinator Mr Anurag Gupta & Mr Tarachand. There were a total of 20 NSS Volunteers along with students of Galgotias University.
