Event brief description

On 28 March,2025- School of Computer Applications and Technology (SCAT) conducted an expert lecture series on “Intersection between Indian-Indonesian culture” by Dr Noor Hidayat, Director, International Affairs, UPGRIS and “How to write a good scientific paper” by Dr Mega Novita, Head, International Affairs, UPGRIS.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Alok Singh Chouhan and Ms. Sharmistha Dey.

The event was from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM and the venue was New Auditorium(C012).

It was a wonderful knowledge sharing session, through which we came to know about the similarities between Indian and Indonesian culture, their way of living, their education system.

Event Detailed Description

On 28 March,2025 School of Computer Applications and Technology organized an expert lecture series “Expert lecture series on Intersection of Indian- Indonesian culture and How to write a good research paper” by expert from UPGRIS, Indonesia. The event was coordinated by Dr Alok Singh Chouhan and Ms. Sharmistha Dey. The event was from 10:00 AM- 02:30 PM and it was on C012 (New Auditorium).

The programme was inaugurated by felicitation of guests followed by the motivational speech by our honourable Dean, Dr. Vineetha Khemchandani, School of Computer Applications and Technology.

Session 1: Session 1 was delivered by Dr Noor Hidayat, Director, International Affairs, UPGRIS. It was a fabulous session which was through discussions of common and intersection points on Indian and Indonesian cultures- from cinema to temples, from food to literature. An all-inclusive interactive session grabbed the interests of the participants. This session was appreciated by the students and faculty participants, as it was highly interactive as well as they could gain knowledge through entertainment.

 Session 2: Next session was delivered by Dr Mego Novita, Head, International Affairs, UPGRIS. It was a technical session and the main points were how to write some good scientific papers and how can we increase our potential of writing a good research papers, as well as some valuable tips for increasing acceptance rate. During this session, Dr Novita discussed about the techniques for increasing the chance of selection in a high quality journal, some publishing tips, which could be beneficial for budding researchers.

The expert lecture series was ended with the vote of thanks and valedictory session by the coordinator Dr Alok Singh Chouhan.

Event Outcome 

The event was highly beneficial for our students and faculties to be familiar with the Indonesian culture and the technological prospect which they can employ for future study purpose.

They were also able to achieve practical knowledge for writing a good research paper
