About the Programme

Mechanical Engineering is one of the foundational pillars of engineering, deeply rooted in human civilization and the evolution of technology. As a discipline, it has continually adapted to meet the changing demands of society. In today's era of digital transformation, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (Al) and Machine Learning (ML) is redefining the landscape of traditional engineering.

The B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with Specialization in Al & ML at Galgotias University is designed to bridge the gap between classical mechanical systems and emerging, intelligent technologies. This program aims to produce graduates who not only possess a anon}: foundation in core Mechanical Engineering principles—such as materials. Thermodynamics systems, manufacturing, and design—but also have the knowledge and proficiency in Al and ML to develop smart, data-driven engineering solutions.

The curriculum enables students to apply mathematical and computational tools to solve real world mechanical problems through simulation, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation. Graduates will be equipped to design and optimize systems using modern tools such as machine learning algorithms. neural networks, and data modeling techniques.

Throughout the course, students will evolve holistically—developing teamwork, ethical reasoning effective communication, and a deep understanding of the societal, environmental, and global impacts of engineering decisions. Graduates of this program will find diverse opportunity in modern industries such as smart manufacturing, robotics, electric vehicles, aerospace, energy, healthcare. They can work on AI-driven automation, predictive maintenance, intelligent and smart biomedical systems. The program also opens pathways in research, innovation. and Tech based startups integrating Mechanical Engineering with Al and ML.

Above all, the program aims to ignite a passion for lifelong learning, fostering innovation and adaptability in a rapidly changing technological world. With a blend of traditional engineering future-ready Al/ML competencies, students will be prepared to lead in diverse industry and research domains. both in India and globally.
