Programme Objectives

The B.Sc. (Hons. with Research) in Biotechnology program aims to provide students with a strong interdisciplinary foundation in biotechnology, integrating theory, practical skills, and research.

It prepares graduates for advanced studies, research, and industry roles by fostering scientific thinking, technical expertise, and ethical responsibility to develop innovative solutions in healthcare, agriculture, and the environment.

Critical thinking and analytical reasoning: Acquire ability of critical thinking and logical reasoning and capability of recognizing and distinguishing the various aspects of real-life problems.

Conduct investigations of complex research problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern science and research tools including prediction and modelling to complex scientific activities with an understanding of the limitations.
