The B.Sc. (Hons. with Research) Forensic Science program with specialization in Cyber and Multimedia Forensics is tailored for students aspiring to become experts in digital crime investigation and cyber security. This research-intensive program combines core forensic science education with advanced training in areas such as cybercrime analysis, digital evidence recovery, network forensics, and multimedia authentication.

Students gain practical experience through hands-on sessions in state-of-the-art digital forensics labs, working with industry-standard tools and technologies. The curriculum includes simulated cybercrime investigations, real-world case studies, and a strong emphasis on ethical and legal aspects of digital forensics.

Foundational & Specialized Knowledge: Provide a strong base in core forensic science while specializing in digital evidence recovery, cybercrime investigation, and multimedia forensics (image/video/audio analysis).

Technical & Practical Expertise: Train students in digital forensic tools (e.g., FTK, EnCase, Cellebrite), network security, malware analysis, and metadata extraction for legal investigations.

Legal & Ethical Compliance: Develop understanding of cyber laws (IT Act, GDPR), chain of custody for digital evidence, and ethical hacking principles to ensure court-admissible findings.

Research & Problem-Solving Skills: Foster analytical thinking through case studies, mock cybercrime scenarios, and research projects on emerging threats (deepfakes, cryptocurrency fraud).

Industry-Ready Graduates: Prepare students for careers in cyber forensics labs, law enforcement, corporate security, or IT audits via internships, certifications (CHFI, CEH), and hands-on lab training.
