Biotechnology Knowledge: Possess knowledge and comprehension of the core and basic knowledge associated with the profession of biotechnology, including Cell and molecular Biology, Genetics, Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering, Genomics and Proteomics and Enzyme Technology.

Planning Abilities: Demonstrate effective planning abilities including waste management, hospital management, Disaster management, delegation skills and research organizational skills. Develop and implement plans and organize work to meet deadlines.

Problem analysis: Utilize the principles of Analytical thinking, clearly and critically, while solving problems and making decisions during development of biotechnology experimentation and research. Find, analyse, evaluate and apply information systematically and making decisions related to biotechnology project. Learn and apply modern and appropriate tools related to biotechnology research.

Leadership skills: Understand and consider the human reaction to change, motivation issues, leadership and team-building when planning changes required for fulfilment of practice, professional and societal responsibilities. Assume participatory roles as responsible citizens or leadership roles during the conduction of biotechnology research to facilitate improvement in health and wellbeing.

Professional Identity and Ethics: Understand, analyse and communicate the value of their professional roles in society and honour human values and apply ethical principles in professional and social contexts. Demonstrate behaviour that recognizes cultural and personal variability in values, communication and lifestyles. Use ethical frameworks; apply ethical principles while making decisions during the conduction of biotechnology research.

Biotechnology and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety and legal issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the biotechnology research practice. Communicate effectively with the biotechnology research & industry community.
