About the Programme

The M.Sc. in Cognitive Science, Learning and Technology is an interdisciplinary postgraduate program. It is newly launched Program from Department of Psychology at the School of Liberal Education, Galgotias University, that blends the scientific study of the mind with innovations in educational design and digital technology. The program is designed to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to understand how people think, learn, and interact with technology, with applications across education, industry, and research. TheKey Focus Areas are, Cognitive Science: Understanding mental processes such as memory, attention, language, problem-solving, and decision-making. Learning Theories: Exploring how learning occurs across age groups and contexts—formal, informal, and digital. Educational Technology: Designing and evaluating tools and platforms that enhance learning experiences using technology. Human-Technology Interaction: Investigating how humans perceive, use, and adapt to interfaces, digital systems, and AI-driven tools. leading to socially relevant innovation and solving crucial educational challenges.

To reach our educational goals and outcomes, the MSc program integrates interdisciplinary perspectivesranging from computer sciences, psychology, anthropology, philosophy, learning sciences, educational sciences, and neurosciences, offering a comprehensive curriculum.

We offer cutting-edge programs that provide students with a multitude of opportunities to learn first-hand in an interdisciplinary environment. With our expanding industry partnerships, we aim to enhance research, practical applications, and placement opportunities to give students the chance to apply their knowledge and gain exposure to companies in their respective fields. We are committed to providing a comprehensive and immersive educational experience to help students succeed in their careers. This academic-lab-industry integrationprepares students for careers in research, cognitive and brain sciences (including AI), management, engineering, design, robotics,human- machine interaction, user interface optimization, and instructional design. Our students can enter different career paths in industry, global, educational, social, and government organizations.

We believe that our MSc in Cognitive Sciences, Learning, and Technology encompasses an innovative and unique curriculum that aims at equipping students with an interdisciplinary blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them for diverse real-world applications to solve today’s and tomorrow’s education challenges, to foster equity, justice and quality education.
