This program focuses on the scientific examination and authentication of multimedia evidence such as images, videos, audio, and digital content. It equips students with skills to detect manipulation, recover metadata, and analyze forensic artifacts essential for investigations and legal proceedings.
Graduation in relevant subjects with minimum 45% marks in aggregate
Students having CUET Score will be given preference in merit.

Provide in-depth knowledge and technical skills for the acquisition, authentication, and analysis of digital multimedia evidence including images, audio, and video files.

Train students in the use of forensic tools and techniques for detecting tampering, enhancing media quality, and extracting metadata to support digital investigations.

Prepare graduates for careers in forensic laboratories, cybercrime units, and digital investigation agencies, with a strong focus on legal admissibility, ethical handling, and data integrity of multimedia evidence.
Critical thinking and analytical reasoning: Acquire ability of critical thinking and logical reasoning and capability of recognizing and distinguishing the various aspects of real life problems.
Conduct investigations of complex research problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex scientific activities with an understanding of the limitations.
