This Post-Graduate Diploma in Forensic Biology and Serology is a one-year, skill-oriented course designed to train students in biological evidence examination, human tissue identification, and serological testing techniques used in criminal investigations. The program combines theory with lab-based learning to develop forensic competence and scientific integrity.
Graduation in relevant subjects with minimum 45% marks in aggregate
Students having CUET Score will be given preference in merit.

Provide foundational and applied knowledge in forensic biology and serology, focusing on the identification and analysis of biological fluids and tissues in criminal investigations.

Train students in laboratory techniques such as blood group determination, semen and saliva detection, and DNA profiling, ensuring accurate interpretation and reporting of biological evidence.

Prepare graduates for employment in forensic laboratories, medical-legal departments, and law enforcement agencies with a strong emphasis on scientific rigor, ethical standards, and legal compliance.
Critical thinking and analytical reasoning: Acquire ability of critical thinking and logical reasoning and capability of recognizing and distinguishing the various aspects of real life problems.
Conduct investigations of complex research problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex scientific activities with an understanding of the limitations.
