Dr. Vineet Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, School of Basic Science, Galgotias University. He completed his B.Sc. (H) Physics degree from University of Delhi and M.Sc. in Physics at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science & Technology in 2013 and 2015, respectively, and earned his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi, in December 2021. His doctoral thesis, “Growth and investigation of group II-VI semiconductor nanoparticles for luminescence-based applications”. He has demonstrated academic excellence by qualifying national-level examinations such as JEST (AIR-317, 2016) and GATE (AIR-996, 2016). Dr. Vineet is a prolific researcher with 06 publications in reputed SCI Q1 and Q2 international journals, along with a granted patent, reflecting both academic depth and innovative spirit. His consistent research contributions have also been recognized with the Commendable Research Award for Excellence in Research from Delhi Technological University for two consecutive years (2021-2022). With a Google Scholar h-index of 05, an i-10 index of 04, and more than 140 citations, her work continues to have a significant impact in the field of materials science and photonics. With a blend of academic rigor, innovative research, and international recognition, Dr. Vineet continues to contribute to advancing the frontiers of materials science, nanotechnologies and spectroscopic technologies while inspiring the next generation of physicists.
