Academic Background: Prof (Dr) Sunita Sharma has done three post-docs from Raman Research Institute, Bangalore, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and Inter University Accelerator Centre, Delhi. Prof Sharma has earned her Ph.D. in Physics from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar specializing in materials science.

Research Interests: Prof Sharma’s research focuses on nanomaterials, solar cells, lasers and nonlinear optics.She is also interested in waste management and hydrogen generation.

Teaching Experience: Prof Sharma has over 11 years of teaching experience. She is teaching at the School of Basic Sciences, Galgotias University from August 2024. She is known for her engaging teaching style and mentorship of students. She has been an international speaker in online global classroom teaching in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia. She has guided several PhD students in the area of Nanomaterials and Solar cells.

Publications and Achievements: Prof Sharma has published over 71 research papers in journals of national and international repute and conferences with about 1785 citations, h index 14 and i10 index to be 22 till November 2024. She has also been invited to speak and chair the sessions at several international conferences.

Awards and Recognition: Prof Sharma was awarded for best oral presentation in various national and international conferences. She has received several research fellowships from Government of India.
