Dr. Gaurav Verma

Assistant Professor

Dr. Gaurav Verma is currently working as an Assistant Professor in School of Civil Engineering. He has more than 4 years of experience in teaching and research in the field of Transportation Engineering and has been associated with Galgotias University since September 2025. He completed his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a thesis titled “Prediction of the Soaked CBR of Fine-grained Plastic Soils through Machine Learning Algorithms.,” where he developed data-driven models and computer software (both Desktop and Web Applications) relevant to Indian highway conditions. Being a passionate teacher, Dr. Verma believes that teaching should not only help students understand fundamental concepts but also foster critical thinking and evaluation of alternative problem-solving approaches. He actively engages students through hands-on laboratory experiments, case studies, and software-based learning to equip future civil engineers with strong theoretical foundations and practical skills in transportation engineering.
