Dr. Charu Gupta

Assistant Professor

Dr. Charu Gupta is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Clinical Research Division of the School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Galgotias University. Here she is bearing additional responsibilities of the lab coordinator and the research coordinator of the Clinical Research Division. After qualifying, NET and GATE fellowships, she did her PhD work in Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR), Delhi and received her PhD degree from Delhi University. Following her PhD she continued post-doctoral research in various esteemed national and international institutions like National Institute of Immunology, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), USA, Jamia Hamdard, etc. Her keen interest and scientific acumen in molecular parasitology and biomedical research, helped her earn various national and international awards and fellowships like the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) Fellowship for research at Centre for Biologics Evaluation and Research, Food and Drug Administration NIH Campus, Bethesda, USA; Fellows Award for Research Excellence (FARE) for research at Centre for Biologics Evaluation and Research, Food and Drug Administration NIH Campus, Bethesda, USA; N-PDF from DST-SERB and DST-WOSA Women Scientist Program. She has presented her research work at several international and national conferences in India and abroad. From the Institute of Molecular Medicine, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, she organized a highly successful International Conference on “Innovations for the Elimination and control of Visceral Leishmaniasis in Asia and Africa”. 

Since she has joined university in 2021, she played a key role in the development of research lab for her division. She has completed numerous courses/ FDP/ training/ workshops conducted by highly reputed organizations. She has published 10 research papers in reputed SCI/SCI-E/SCOPUS and peer-reviewed journals along with 3 patents.
