Dr. Chandan Bhai Patel

Assistant Professor

Dr. Chandan Bhai Patel is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Galgotias University. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, where his research focused on Raman spectroscopy of liquid crystals, nanocomposites, and semiconductor thin films. His research interests include spectroscopic and computational studies of molecular systems, phase transition analysis, and material characterization using Raman and DFT techniques. He has demonstrated academic excellence by qualifying national-level examinations in Physics such as CSIR UGC JRF (December 2017 and June 2018) and GATE (2018).

Dr. Patel has published several research papers in reputed international journals such as Journal of Molecular Liquids, Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, Vibrational Spectroscopy, and Journal of Raman Spectroscopy. He has participated in multiple national and international conferences and has been recognized with the Best Poster Presentation Award at ICOMPA-2023. His teaching philosophy integrates conceptual understanding with experimental and computational insights to foster scientific curiosity among students.
