About

Dr. Achyutesh Dixit is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, School of Basic Sciences Galgotia University Greater Noida. He received the B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. degrees in Physics from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He received the Ph.D. degree in photonic crystal waveguide from Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi in 2017. He was previously posted as an Assistant Professor in Physics at Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology, Muzaffarpur India-842003 through NPIU-MHRD, Ministry of Education. He is also currently working on a project “hybrid photonic crystal waveguides for biochemical sensing”. He has been the author or co-author of 18 research papers published in the SCI & Scopus Journal of repute. His interests include unconventional optical fibers, photonic crystal fibers and resonators, optoelectronics, photonic band gap materials, metamaterials, solar cells, and optical materials.

Dr. Dixit was a recipient of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Junior Research Fellowship Award for obtaining 74 rank in 2012 and Senior Research Fellowship Award commencing from 2015 to 2017. He has also completed two projects sanctioned by AICTE as PI and Co-PI.

  • Photonic Crystal Waveguide- In different domains of photonics (Fiber Optics, Nano & Quantum Photonics) both theoretically and experimentally.
  • Nonlinear Optics-Prime focus is towards nonlinear photonics (multimode nonlinear fiber optics, nonlinear silicon photonics), quantum photonics (quantum communication, single-photon, entangled photon pairs, cavity quantum electrodynamics), optical wireless communication (indoor and under water optical communication) and fiber-optic metadevices.
