The Department of Civil Engineering, Galgotias Polytechnic, successfully organized a One-Day Workshop on “Primavera P6 Essentials” on 26th September 2025 at Campus-1, Computer Lab (GBS-102). The session was conducted by Er. Syed Mohammad Ahmad, Planning Engineer at Design Master, who graced the occasion as the resource person. The workshop was aimed at enhancing the technical knowledge of students in project management and preparing them for the challenges of the construction industry.

The event commenced with the formal introduction of the guest by Mr. Vivek Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering Department. His words highlighted the academic and professional contributions of the resource person and set the tone for an engaging and knowledge-driven session. Following this, Mr. Brij Mohan Yadav, Program Chair of Diploma in Civil Engineering, addressed the gathering and motivated students to actively participate and make the best use of such opportunities. Ms. Manisha Sharma, Assistant Professor, also shared her words of encouragement and emphasized the importance of project planning tools like Primavera P6 in the professional growth of civil engineers.

During the technical session, Er. Syed Mohammad Ahmad introduced the students to the fundamentals of Primavera P6, a widely used project management software in the field of construction and engineering. He elaborated on its application in planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling projects.
