Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights

The School of Education (SOE) and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Galgotias University organized a workshop on Wednesday, the 08th of January 2024 in offline mode. The speaker for this workshop under the title “Intellectual Property Rights” was Dr. Gaurav Kumar, IIC

This workshop was conducted under the practicum papers of Creativity, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and IPR in B.Ed. first semester program while for M.Ed. first semester, it was a part of the practicum paper of Communication Skills and Self Development. The basic idea behind the conduction of this workshop was to sow the seeds of innovation and creativity in the minds of our future educationists about start-ups and entrepreneurship. The event was attended by all the faculty members and all the B.Ed. and M.Ed. students of First semester.

Dr. Gaurav Kumar shared his presentation about the steps involved in a Start-up journey along with information on EdTech Start-ups and Unicorns in India. He talked all about finding the right challenges and problems in the field of Education and then addressing them with unique and creative solutions thus laying the foundations of a Start-up.

The workshop was very informative and interactive. A question-answer session helped to solve all the queries and curiosities of the students.

The course coordinator, Dr. Ashwarya Srivastava instructed the students to prepare posters on the theme of “My idea of Entrepreneurship in Education” which helped the students to search for problem areas in the field of Education and suggest their unique remedies towards solving the same. This fostered in them the sense of creativity and helped them to be innovators and entrepreneurs in their own selves. Many students stepped forward and shared and discussed their ideas. This was an activity to make them boggle their minds and find a unique approach to an Entrepreneurial idea in Education.

The workshop was enjoyed thoroughly by one and all present. The dean of SOE, respected Dr. Satyendra Gupta, thanked the esteemed speakers in the end and encouraged the students to become successful entrepreneurs.

The event was aligned with the SDG goal 4, Quality Education and SDG goal 9, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.
