Workshop on Active Learning Practices

School of Education, Galgotias University, in collaboration with academic partner ‘Zamit’ India and ‘QAI U.K.’ organized a workshop titled “Active Learning Practices” on 21st March 2025 at the university campus. The workshop was specifically designed for students of the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program and teacher educators. The workshop sessions were focused on equipping pre-service teachers with skills and insights into active learning methodologies, fostering student engagement through thinking, discussion, investigation, creation and designing thinking. The primary goal of the workshop was to assist aspiring educators in developing a robust understanding of active learning approaches to instruction. By adopting these strategies, future teachers will be able to encourage deeper learning and critical thinking in their students.

The resource persons Ms. Payal Mathur and Ms. Sreerupa Sil, from Zamit India- An educational platform supporting innovative teaching practices and Qualifications and Assessments International (QAI), UK– Supporting learning authentication and professional development, conducted the workshop.

A total of 107 participants from seven institutions attended the workshop. All participants showed their satisfaction with the outcome of the workshop. All participants received a registration kit and a memento from the academic partner. B.Ed. students Suhana and Devanshi welcomed all participants, introduced the resource persons, and briefed them about the workshop. At the end of the workshop, Dr. Satyendra Gupta, Dean, School of Education, extended the vote of thanks. All resource persons and team members of the academic partner were given mementoes as a token of love from the university. Ms. Neha Kumari, Assistant Professor, coordinated the workshop.

The workshop was a resounding success, providing a comprehensive understanding of Active learning. We appreciate the efforts of the organizers, experts, and participants in making this program a valuable learning experience.
