Event Detailed Description

Sleepwell “Think, Pair and Share” Event at Galgotias University

The School of Business at Galgotias University is proud to announce the upcoming “Think, Pair and Share” event in collaboration with Sleepwell Mattress (Sheela Foam Ltd.), scheduled to take place on 22nd May 2025 at 10:30 AM in the New Library, Galgotias University. The event will be graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Yogeshwar Dayal (Vice President, India) and Mr. Satendra Kumar Saraswat (Administration Head) from Sleepwell.

The finalization of this event was confirmed during a recent visit to the Sleepwell Mattress manufacturing plant, where I had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Yogeshwar Dayal and Mr. Sunder (HR Head, India). The meeting was both productive and forward-looking. Mr. Dayal expressed great enthusiasm for engaging with the students and contributing meaningfully to their industry readiness.

In a significant strategic update, Mr. Dayal shared that KURLON Mattress Company has recently been acquired by Sleepwell Mattress. This move marks a major milestone in the company’s growth, reinforcing its leadership in the Indian mattress market. Reflecting this development, Mr. Dayal has kindly suggested that the KURLON logo be included in the event’s branding and communication materials, symbolizing the broader corporate vision and integration.

The Think, Pair and Share event is designed as an interactive, student-centric initiative that aims to bridge the gap between academic theories and real-world corporate practices. Approximately 130 MBA students are expected to participate, making it one of the most engaging academic-industry interface sessions of the year. Students will collaborate in pairs and groups to address real business scenarios, think critically, and present solutions—skills highly valued in today’s competitive corporate world.

Preparations for the event will commence on Tuesday, with full support from the Industry Connect coordination team. The event not only provides a platform for students to showcase their analytical and communication skills but also presents them with the rare opportunity to engage directly with industry leaders from a top-tier company.

Adding further value to this collaboration, Mr. Yogeshwar Dayal has committed to hosting another Think, Pair and Share event—this time at the Sheela Foam Ltd. plant. During this session, Mr. Sunder, HR Head (India), will personally train both MBA and BBA students on corporate work culture, professional ethics, and operational frameworks followed in the industry. This onsite learning experience will be instrumental in preparing students for internships and placements.

Events like these serve as vital touchpoints in our mission to connect academic learning with practical industry exposure. We thank the leadership team at Sleepwell for their continued support and commitment to nurturing future business professionals. We look forward to a meaningful and inspiring session on 22nd May and to strengthening this partnership through future engagements.

Students had the opportunity to work in teams, develop critical thinking, and present their ideas—enhancing their communication and analytical skills.

The event significantly increased student awareness of corporate work environments, decision-making processes, and leadership expectations. It also inspired students to pursue careers in the manufacturing and consumer goods sectors with a better understanding of industry dynamics.

A key highlight was Mr. Dayal’s commitment to hosting another session at the Sheela Foam Ltd. plant, where Mr. Sunder (HR Head, India) will train students on corporate culture and operational practices—opening pathways for internships and future placements.
