The Voice of Galgotias, an eagerly awaited event organized by the Sponsorship Club, unfolded with enthusiasm in the afternoon of April 15, 2024 at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, marking the arrival of esteemed guests. Lingo Freaks’ Coordinators, Mr. Saksham Saxena and Ms. Dristi Singh, extended a warm welcome to all dignitaries, highlighting the collaborative efforts between Galgotias University and Swalay in nurturing talented singers.
The event featured a distinguished jury panel comprising Mr. Vineet Singh Upmani, a renowned music creator and founder of Great Song World; Professor Dr. Ranjana Patnaik; and Mr. Nickson Yesudaas Dixit, the publication head of Swalay Digital. The festivities kicked off with captivating dance performances by members of the Galgotias Dance Crew, setting the stage for an afternoon of talent and entertainment.
The competition, structured into three rounds, showcased participants’ versatility and musical prowess. The first round, themed around the 90s era, commenced with exceptional performances by notable contestants such as Ms. Akansha Singh, Mr. Prateek Dixit, Mr. Gautam Agarwal, and others. Following these engaging displays, Noteveda added to the vibrant atmosphere with their musical interlude.
After intense competition and expert deliberation, winners from each round, including Ms. Anushka Banerjee, Mr. Gautam Agarwal, Ms. Monal Jain, Ms. Akansha Singh, and Mr. Uma Aditya emerged and progressed to subsequent rounds. The event reached its climax in the final round, where top contenders showcased their talents with songs like "Afreen Afreen," "Fero Na Nazar Se Nazariya," and "Ghar More Pardesiya." Special appearances and performances by Chief Guest Mr. Rashish Pandey and other talented individuals further enriched the event, celebrating independent music and Swalay's pivotal role in its promotion.
In a grand culmination, Ms. Akansha Singh secured the coveted first position, earning the opportunity for a Swalay launch. The event concluded with heartfelt expressions of gratitude towards the jury, dignitaries, and the organizing committee, leaving a lasting impression of musical excellence and collaboration.
