The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE), Galgotias University, organized a comprehensive seminar on “Work–Life Balance” on 14 November 2025 at the AI–107 seminar hall. Designed as a Faculty Development Program (FDP) and wellness-oriented session, the event aimed to address the growing challenges faced by faculty in balancing academic workload with personal well-being. The seminar was delivered by Mahaprabhu, an internationally acclaimed speaker known for his dynamic presentations on productivity, mindfulness, and emotional wellness.
The program commenced at 9:00 AM with a formal introduction by the host, followed by a ceremonial welcome of the resource person by the Dean, SCSE. A bouquet and memento were presented as a gesture of appreciation, setting an encouraging tone for the day. In his welcome address, the Dean highlighted the need for mental balance, stress management, and emotional resilience among faculty members who navigate multiple responsibilities including teaching, research, mentoring, and administration.
The keynote session by Mahaprabhu, spanning over two hours, was the central highlight of the event. He began by explaining the concept of the work–life balance paradox and how academic professionals often struggle to achieve equilibrium due to constant workload expansion, student engagement needs, and performance expectations. Through an engaging narrative style, he described the psychological and environmental stressors frequently encountered in academic life.
