In a bold step toward simplifying student life, QSkipper – a smart food pre-ordering app – is now live on the Apple App Store, alongside its vendor-side counterpart QSkipper Admin. Developed by B.Tech CSE students at Galgotias University, the apps aim to solve one of the most overlooked campus problems: long cafeteria queues during short breaks.
The idea took shape when developers Vinayak Bansal, Keshav Lohiya, and Priyanshu Gupta noticed that a significant part of their 30-minute break was spent waiting to receive their food, leaving little time to relax and enjoy the meal. Wanting to make the process more efficient and student-friendly, they envisioned a solution where food could be pre-ordered and picked up right when it's ready — eliminating wait times and making the most of every break.
QSkipper allows users to browse menus, place pre-orders, and track their meal in real-time, all through a clean, intuitive iOS interface. On the other end, QSkipper Admin enables vendors to manage orders, menus, and pickup status with a structured dashboard that reduces rush-hour stress and improves efficiency.
What makes QSkipper special is its real-world relevance. It doesn’t just optimize cafeteria operations — it gives students their breaks back. With features like multi-outlet support, live order tracking, and scheduled pickups, it is a digital solution tailored to the real pace of campus life.The duo of QSkipper and Admin is among the standout projects emerging from Galgotias' student-led app ecosystem. “This isn’t just about food — it’s about time, simplicity, and a better campus experience,” said the team.
