Purpose

To develop state-of-the-art infrastructure to help our teaching faculty, administrative staff and students in capacity building for skills.

Policy

The Lifelong Learning Policy for GU includes:

(1) Understanding learning as a continuous need of individuals throughout their lives, and of the contributions Higher education can make in this respect

(2) Acknowledging that societies need more than formal education to and global challenges; deal with local

(3) Admitting that both individuals and their communities need to be involved in determining learning needs and goals throughout life.

(4) Keeping these in mind, Galgotias University has formulated policy of lifelong learning for the learners, regardless of any societal hindrance.

a. Teaching and Learning

Adopt a teaching strategy that places a higher priority on student-centered learning and encourages the acquisition of critical thinking and information evaluation abilities rather than rote learning. To improve the teaching and learning practices of academic staff members, implement comprehensive pedagogical training programmes. Encourage and enable faculty-student interdisciplinary collaboration, including relevant knowledge and skills into the learning process. Encourage equal access to education for all students, irrespective of their socioeconomic status, language, religion, ethnicity, race, or any other characteristic that might lead to discriminatory actions. To keep up with the rapid advances in information technology, foster the development of self-directed learning skills and attitudes that support lifelong learning.

b. Human Resource Development

For Galgotias University to achieve its goal of maintaining excellence in the spread of information and skills for sustainable development, it must have access to top-notch human resources. As a result, Galgotias University will continue to: Hire, train, inspire, and retain competent employees for research and teaching. We will provide opportunities for ongoing professional development and training to all academic faculty members in order to improve the caliber of research and instruction in all programmes of study.

c. Lifelong learning programmes

University is dedicated to creating, developing, and implementing educational and training programmes that smoothly integrate the domains of life, work, and learning on an ongoing basis.Professionals and other people looking to improve their knowledge and abilities are included in this inclusive approach. The University will make sure that this field continues to grow by: looking into joint ventures to provide training in numeracy, basic skills for the workforce, and other areas with the UGC and other academic councils, NGOs, social workers, community members, and other stakeholders.
