Launch of IIT Mandi Catalyst Satellite Centre at Galgotias University

In reference to the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 03 January 2026 between Galgotias University and IIT Mandi Catalyst for running a Joint Incubation Program and establishing the IIT Mandi Catalyst Satellite Centre at the Galgotias University campus, the University is set to host the formal inauguration of this landmark initiative on 11 January 2026.

The inauguration will be graced by Laxmidhar Behera, Director, Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, as the Chief Guest, marking a significant step toward deepening national-level collaboration in innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology commercialization.

About the Initiative

The IIT Mandi Catalyst Satellite Centre at Galgotias University is envisioned as a strategic innovation and incubation hub that will strengthen the startup ecosystem by combining academic excellence with real-world entrepreneurial support. This centre will primarily serve:

Incubated startups under GICRISE
Student entrepreneurs of Galgotias University
Joint incubation programs offering structured mentorship, investor access, and market linkages
Technology commercialization, product validation, and startup acceleration

By leveraging the expertise, networks, and proven incubation framework of IIT Mandi Catalyst, the Satellite Centre aims to provide national exposure, mentorship from seasoned industry experts, and access to funding opportunities for early-stage and growth-stage startups emerging from the university ecosystem.
