Isieindia 2023 Esvc Car Rally

Event Date: 14th - 21st April 2023

More than a decade after India was introduced to top flight motorsports event in the form of Electric Solar Vehicle Championship in 2013, the engineering students across India from top institutes and universities has been a part of the this revolutionary journey of electric solar vehicles. This year, we are taking it ahead with a 350 KM+ rally on public transport highways and the teams are gearing up to witness the final event of Season 9.0 of ESVC at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Galgotias University on Friday 14th April to 21st April, 2023.

In the event there will be 750+ Participants, 10000+ Visitors including Students and Faculties from University, 100+ Guests and Delegates from Ministry, OEM’s and Automotive Industries. The rally will take place from Galgotias University to Agra to Galgotias Colleges of Engineering, Gr. Noida. During the rally will be cover major cities like – Jewar, Aligarh, Mathura, Agra creating an impact on around 1 Billion peoples in India. DAY 1

The event was started on 11thJanuary 2022 with the Opening Ceremony followed by the team registration. The Opening Ceremony was honoured byDr. Budhha Chandrasekhar(Chief Coordinating Officer, AICTE, Ministry of Education, Government of India) as a Chief Guest, along with the presence ofMr. Vinod Gupta(President, ISIEINDIA),Dr. Preeti Bajaj(Vice Chancellor, Galgotias University),Dr. Avdesh Singh(Pro Vice Chancellor, Galgotias University),Mr. Shubhaankar Chakraborty(Director, Academia Alliance and CSR, ISIEINDIA),Dr. Nitin Gaur(Registrar, Galgotias University),Dr. AK Jain(Dean Student Welfare, Galgotias University).

DAY 2

The day 2 commence at 9 AM in the morning. The teams those remain with the registration had completed the registration process. Then, all the technical inspectors had arranged a team captains briefing meeting. Technical Inspectors briefed the Team Captains about the event process, requirements to clear the Technical Inspection, various rounds to be conducted, safety measures and the guidelines to be followed while performing various rounds. After briefing, all the teams have lined up their vehicles for the Technical Inspection Round 1. The teams had to go through the various Technical Inspection Rounds viz. Safety, Scale & Tech.

The Day 2 of the event sums up with the Technical Inspection Round 1 (Safety, Scale & Tech) of the participating teams.

DAY 3

The day 3 started with the Technical Inspection Round 2. As in the round 1, Technical Inspectors had asked to clarify the various constraints and changes as per the rulebook; the teams have done the modification while working in the Hot Pit Area and bring their vehicle to Round 2 of Technical Inspection. Team Infiltrators from Parul University, Gujarat cleared the Technical Inspection, First followed by other teams. Total 16 teams out of 18 have cleared the Technical Inspection. After completion of Technical Inspection Round 2, teams have lined up their vehicles for the Brake. Out of 16 teams, 11 teams cleared the Brake Test to qualify for the various dynamic rounds including Acceleration Test, Cross Pad Round, Tug of War and Endurance Round. All the 11 teams who cleared the Brake Test performed the Acceleration Test. The Day 3 of the event sums up with the Technical Inspection Round 2, Brake Test and Acceleration Test.

DAY 4

The day 4 started with the Dynamic Rounds. First round was the Cross Pad round to check the maneuverability, cornering ability on flat surface while making a constant radius turn and driver’s skills. All the qualified teams participated in the Cross Pad round.

After completion of Cross Pad round, teams have lined up their vehicles for the Endurance Round. The endurance round is designed to evaluate the overall performance, reliability and efficiency of the kart.
