Hospital Immersion Visit – Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital

The School of Business successfully organized a Hospital Immersion Visit for the students of MBA Healthcare Management (4th Semester) and MBA Operations Management (2nd Semester) on 17th June 2025. The visit took place at Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, a premier healthcare institution in Greater Noida. The objective of this academic-industry interface was to bridge theoretical learning with practical exposure to hospital operations. It aimed to offer students an in-depth understanding of the clinical and non-clinical aspects of hospital management.
Highlights of the Visit:
- The visit commenced with a structured orientation session conducted by the Floor Managers and Mr. Vimal Mishra (Marketing Executive). Students were guided through various hospital departments, operational workflows, and service delivery protocols.
- The immersion experience enabled students to observe key areas such as:
- Patient admission and discharge process
- Diagnostic and imaging services
- Operation theatre protocols
- Front office management and patient interaction
- Supply chain, pharmacy, and logistics coordination
- Marketing and business development functions
We were privileged to have an inspiring address by senior hospital leadership, which enriched the learning experience:
- Mr. Amit Singh, Group CEO, shared insights on healthcare leadership, hospital expansion strategies, and the importance of aligning operational efficiency with patient satisfaction.
- Dr. Sunil Kumar Baliyan, Facility Director, provided a clinical overview of hospital functioning, safety protocols, and the role of quality management in super-speciality services.
- Mr. Tathagata Sengupta, Deputy GM – Marketing, discussed healthcare marketing trends, patient engagement, and branding in competitive hospital settings.
The visit successfully met its objective of giving students experiential learning exposure to the real-world functioning of a modern hospital. It fostered a practical understanding of hospital infrastructure, systems thinking, and interdepartmental coordination. Students appreciated the opportunity to interact with senior professionals and gain clarity on career opportunities in hospital and operations management.
