Faculty Development Programme on Research Methodology

The Faculty Development Programme on Research Methodology was held from 20th to 24th January 2025, was a highly enriching event organized by the School of Liberal Education, School of Languages, Galgotias University.

Welcome Address by Prof. (Dr.) Anuradha Parasar, Dean, School of Liberal Education and School of Languages.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Anuradha Parasar, Dean, School of Liberal Education and School of Languages. Her insightful opening remarks set a positive tone for the sessions and underscored the importance of research in Academia.

The Resource Persons for the programme were Dr. Paroma Sen, Dr. Shadab Ahmad Ansari, Dr. Ambika Prasad Pandey, Dr. Manju Dahiya, Dr. Chandra Sen, Dr. Madhusudhan Nag, Dr. Shikha Srivastava, Dr. Kumari Sushma, Dr. Shabana Azami, Dr. Ishrat Jahan, Dr. Pallavi Beri, Dr. Devika, and Dr. Manisha. 

They covered an array of critical topics such as qualitative and quantitative research methods, sampling techniques, Academic research writing, citation standards, SPSS software, correlation analysis, Hypothesis formulation, Research Ethics, and publication protocols. Each session was interactive and insightful, providing participants with practical knowledge and tools to enhance their research capabilities.

The Resource Persons touched tangentially on the integral role of Research Methodology in achieving the SDGs:

The FDP focused on enhancing faculty skills in research methodologies, academic writing, and ethical practices, contributing to higher-quality education delivery. Equipped with better research tools and techniques, educators can inspire critical thinking and innovation in students.

The collaborative platform created by this FDP for knowledge exchange among experts and participants supports partnerships that advance shared research goals and global progress toward sustainable development.

Through its comprehensive approach to empowering faculty with advanced Research Methodologies, the FDP demonstrated a strong alignment with these SDGs, fostering Sustainable Academic and societal growth.

The event concluded with thoughtful remarks by Prof. (Dr.) Anuradha Parasar, emphasizes the role of continuous learning in advancing Academic Excellence. The programme successfully equipped faculty members with robust methodologies to foster impactful research in their respective domains.
