EXPERT TALK ON CYBER SECURITY

Event brief description

An expert talk on Cyber Security was successfully conducted on 8th April 2025, under the aegis of the Cyber Security and Privacy Research Group, School of Computer Science Engineering, Galgotias University.

The session was graced by our Dean SCSE, Dr. Sunita Yadav, who extended a warm welcome to the speaker and participants. In her opening remarks, she highlighted the significance of cybersecurity in today’s digital age and encouraged students to explore opportunities in this vital field.

The invited speaker, Mr. Sourabh Kumar, Senior Cluster Manager, delivered an insightful session covering key concepts of banking security, current trends, and career opportunities in cybersecurity for both B.Tech and M.Tech students. His talk provided real-world perspectives on cyber threats and the skills needed to address them, sparking great interest among the audience.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of around 60 students, who engaged actively in the Q&A session that followed.

The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the Dean, acknowledging the speaker’s contribution and the efforts of the faculty coordinators Dr. Pooja Singh and Dr. Sudeshna Chakraborty, as well as the support from the IIC coordinators, WIE-IEEE mentors, and research group members.
