Counselling Session on UGC-NET Exam Preparation

School of Education, Galgotias University, Greater Noida organized Counselling on UGC-NET Competition Exam Preparation for its Master of Education (M.Ed.) on 05.10.2024. The counselling session aimed to emphasize the significance of the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) examination and equip students with effective tips and strategies for successful preparation.

The session started by Ms. Neha Kumari, Assistant Professor, School of Education by highlighted the UGC-NET exam's role in determining eligibility for assistant professorships and junior research fellowships in Indian universities and colleges. During the session so many points are discussed like eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications, age limits, and exam structure, tips on creating a study plan, time management, and effective note-taking were shared. Proper guidance provided on preparing for both Paper I (teaching and research aptitude) and Paper II (subject-specific). Time management strategies were shared with the students that how they managing their time during the exam and balancing preparation with academic responsibilities. Also discussed the importance of practicing with mock tests and revising key concepts regularly.

The UGC-NET counselling session was a resounding success, equipping students with the knowledge and strategies necessary to excel in the exam. By conducting such sessions, we reinforce our commitment to supporting students' academic and professional aspirations.
