Career Counselling and MoU Signing Ceremony with Sheoran International School

The School of Education, Galgotias University in collaboration with the GU-placement cell organised the signing of MOU between Galgotias University and Sheoran International School on the 4th of August 2025 at the Artificial Intelligence block, Galgotias University to foster academic collaboration, student development and knowledge-sharing initiatives. The partnership aims to enhance school-to-university transition programs, academic excellence and skill-based learning pathways for future-ready students.

The event took place in the presence of esteemed dignitaries from both the institutions. The principal of Sheoran International School, Ms. Aparna Sharma and the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Awadesh Kumar exchanged the MOU in the presence of the Registrar of the University, Dr. Nitin Gaur, the Dean of School of Education, Dr. Satyendra Gupta, team from CPDD, faculty from both the institutions and students from Sheoran International School. The event also included an interactive session by the university team with a career counselling session on the various courses the university has to offer, and the innovative practices employed in teaching and learning under G-SCALE (Galgotias Student-Centered Active Learning Ecosystem). The students were then taken on a campus visit where they experienced Interactive labs like the iOS-Development Centre and Active Learning classrooms.

Event Detailed Description

Galgotias University and Sheoran International School, Greater Noida, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the 4th of August 2025 to foster academic collaboration, student development and knowledge-sharing initiatives. The partnership aims to enhance school-to-university transition programs, academic excellence and skill-based learning pathways for future-ready students.

The two institutions will collaborate towards mutually beneficial areas of upcoming skills, AI technologies so as to bring an increase in the leadership and employment opportunities for students of Galgotias University and career counselling for the school students. 

The Career Planning & Development Division (CPDD) of the university and the School of Education initiated this MoU. The event took place in the presence of the Principal of Sheoran International School, Ms. Aparna Sharma, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Galgotias University, Dr. Awadesh Kumar, and the Registrar of the University, Dr. Nitin Kumar Gaur. On this occasion, Dr. Satyendra Gupta, Dean of the School of Education, Mr. Khushendra Sharma, Assistant General Manager- Placements and faculty members of the School of Education and Sheoran International School and students attended this function. Dr. Navita Malik coordinated the event with Dr. Ashwarya Srivastava and Dr. Shri Kant Dwivedi from the School of Education in collaboration with Mr. Rohit Kumar from CPDD.

In the second session, a career counselling session was organised for the students of the Sheoran International School. The university team guided the students about various career opportunities available at the university. 

Students were also made aware of the upcoming era of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Prof. Gaurav Agarwal, Associate Dean, explained the opportunities available in AI and the innovative practices employed in teaching and learning under G-SCALE (Galgotias Student-Centered Active Learning Ecosystem). 

Afterwards, students were taken on a campus visit where they experienced the Interactive labs like the iOS-Development Centre and Active Learning classrooms and other learning facilities available at the campus of the Galgotias University.

Event Outcome 

The event greatly benefitted the students and the faculty of both the institutions. The career counselling session taken made the students aware of all the courses available in the university. The infrastructure and the various facilities available in the university were exhibited through an interactive presentation. The Active learning classrooms and G-SCALE initiatives for innovative teaching learning strategies were also shown to the students during the campus visit which also included exposure to iOS Development Centre. They were also exposed to the growing era of AI and its applications for future students.
