Additive Manufacturing Lab
Objective: Additive manufacturing laboratory is established to produce a complex shape, layer by layer product with enhance precision and overall efficiency.
Facilities: 3D printing is an additive process whereby layers of material are built up to create a 3D part. This is the opposite of subtractive manufacturing processes, where a final design is cut from a larger block of material. As a result, 3D printing creates less material wastage. The following facilities are available in this laboratory:
- 3D printer
- CNC Simulator
- Computer-aided design (CAD) software
- SolidWorks software
- Auto CAD
- 3D Scanner
- Laser Cutting & Engraver
