M.Sc Biomedical Science
Program overview: M.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences is a 2- year post graduate programme designed to equip students with the generic skills of a researcher in Biomedical Sciences and its application to healthcare and public health. Streams related to the course are microbiology, pathology, biochemistry, cell, and molecular biology, biomedical engineering, organic chemistry, genetics, pharmacology, clinical, pharmacy, applied chemistry, etc. During the course, the candidates will study processes to get more knowledge of curing a disease and will learn the application of natural science to medicine. The course is intended to train students with the important aptitudes of a Specialist in Biomedical Sciences, and Sub-Atomic Sciences etc.
- M.Sc. Biomedical science is 2- years long full- time postgraduate course divided over 4 semesters.
Bachelor degree in Biological, Biomedical, Life Science, Biochemistry, Clinical research, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Nursing and related discipline with 50% marks.
Upon successful completion of the course, successful postgraduates interested in higher studies in the discipline may go for pursuing M.Phil./ Ph.D in the subject. They may also find lucrative employment opportunities in healthcare industries like Pharmaceutical Industries, Medical Research, Genetic Engineering, Lab Technology and Pharmaceutical Sales, research institutes or areas like Material Science, Biomedical Science, Chemical and Physical Science and Engineering.
