About the programme

The B.Sc. (Hons. with Research) Microbiology programme of 4 years is designed to help the students to get good quality education in the field of Microbiology so that they can pursue Post Graduation or find employment. The ultimate aim is to enable the students to develop an integrated approach for understanding the various life science problems at the molecular level. In addition, the present curriculum gives scope for the students, entering different modules to update their knowledge depending upon the employment opportunities in each area. The course will provide a solid foundation to the students regardless of their background in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the microbial tools, microorganisms and allied areas, including clinical and research aspects with special attention to the current development in the discipline. This 4 years graduation program specially inculcates research abilities in students to pursue their career in research and allied areas.
