Galgotias University facilitates the transfer of knowledge and research findings to local farmers, helping them make informed decisions and adopt best practices. By offering training programs and workshops, university equip farmers and food producers with the practical skills needed to improve their productivity and the sustainability of their practices. Collaboration between universities and local communities fosters strong, resilient networks, enabling the exchange of knowledge and resources for the benefit of all parties involved. University established many extension programs that provide farmers with up-to-date information on crop management, pest control, and sustainable farming practices.

Workshops and seminars conducted during university-hosted events serve as platforms for skill development. Participants gain practical insights into sustainable agriculture, innovative farming techniques, and marketing strategies. University frequently host conferences focused on agriculture, food production, and sustainability. These events bring together experts, researchers, and practitioners to share their knowledge and experiences.

University has a proper programme in place on student food insecurity and hunger. It has campus food pantries, educational campaigns, emergency funds and scholarships. Besides, we have programmes run in School of Agriculture and School of Hospitality which are directly related to this.
