A Budget Analysis session was organized by School of Business on 16th February 2018. The session opened with words of encouragement from Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Renu Luthra. It was followed by a presentation on the history of budget presentation in India. Next was the budget summary which was followed by sector specific presentations, like budget provisions relating to Health, Education, Tax Provisions and imposition of LTCG tax, Agriculture, Defence and Rail Budget presented by BBA and MBA students. Audience quiz was conducted in between presentations which saw active participation from the gathering and fetched those prizes for the correct answers. The second part of the session was dedicated to a debate on 'Budget 2018-19 Slogan or Substance'. It saw interesting points being made in support as well as against the Government's Budget. The audience actively cheered and jeered the debators. Mr Deepsnehil won the debate as per the audience poll. The session was attended by Dean-School of Business, faculty members and around 80 students. Students discussed on Budget Proposals and its implications for the economy as a whole.
