Street Play Performance by Mass Communication Students on Communal Harmony
The students of Department of Mass Communication, Galgotias University performed Street Play at Noida Haat on 21st of Nov.ད in observance of Communal Harmony Campaign Week celebrated by National Foundation of Communal Harmony, Ministry of Home Affairs, GoI. This play was performed in two groups of BAJMC students as part of their course curriculum in Public Speaking and Street Play in association with National Service Scheme and NGO Human Touch Foundation. The street play was organised by Dr. Tasha Singh Parihar and a total 39 students participated.
The street plays spread the message of Communal Harmony by opposing discrimination against gender, race, colour, regionality and economic strata in the society. The large number of audience present appreciated the efforts of students. Dr. Upasana Singh, Founder and President of NGO Human Touch Foundation and Dr. Bhawani Shankar, faculty DoMC were also present in the event. Students used posters, utensils, pots as props to amuse the audience and performed dance as well in the play. The event received media coverage by leading newspapers and digital news channels. The students were thankful to honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Preeti Bajaj and Dr. A. Ram Pandey, Head DoMC and Program Coordinator NSS, Galgotias University for their constant support and encouragement.
