Training on Auditing and Assurance conducted by School of Finance and Commerce
B.Com (International Accounting & Finance) Auditing and Assurance (AA) &ndash Training Report
School of Finance & Commerce (SFC), Galgotias University, Greater Noida, conducted 4 days training program on Auditing and Assurance for students of B. Com (International Accounting & Finance) -Semester 5. The training program was designed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and skills required to carry out an audit and assurance assignment. It provides the working knowledge of the audit process and standards of auditing. It also covers the process of internal control testing.

The training was arranged in collaboration with ISDC and was undertaken by Sudesh Neupane, who himself is not just a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) professional, but also, an ACCA qualified professional & has been actively engaged in Teaching & training activities. He has been associated as trainer to the commerce professionals (CA/CS/CMA) in Ellite IIT Coaching centre and teaching Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Tax Management & Planning and Financial Reporting to intermediate and final level of professionals (CA/CS/CMA) and has also been associated as Article Assistant to Saraf & Chandra, Chartered Accountants, Banglore etc.
During this training students gained knowledge & understanding about review and completion of an Audit, events between reporting date and audit report, events between audit report date and date of issue of Financial statements contents of an independent audit report and sections of an audit report etc. The various aspects covered are Audit framework and regulation Planning and risk assessment Internal control Audit evidence and Review and reporting etc.
The emphasis of this training is on conceptual, theoretical and practical aspects of auditing financial statements so that students will be able to apply professional auditing standards and appropriate audit and other procedures to auditing, assurance and attestation engagements.
Post-training students&rsquo feedback was very encouraging, as according to them they, not just gained conceptual knowledge about various aspects of auditing and assurance but also gained hands-on-knowledge on the basis of various case studies undertaken during this training.
