Galgotias University School Of Finance and Commerce organized a webinar on Essence of Entrepreneurship

Today's students face an uncertain future full of complex global, social, and environmental issues. According to the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs survey, half of today's work activities could be automated by 2055, creating completely new roles, responsibilities, and challenges for the future workforce.
In such transformative times, Entrepreneurship may offer an appropriate career avenue for the students. Considering this, the School of Finance and Commerce invited Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Damani - Professor and Chair (Entrepreneurship) at Flame University, to present a webinar on Entrepreneurship for the benefit of the students and university fraternity.
Prof. Damani holds a Ph.D. in Social Entrepreneurship from IIT, Bombay MMS in Finance and B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. He has 30 years of experience in business consulting and project viability. He has worked with / consulted organizations like SICOM, McKinsey & Co., Sakura Capital India, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Nippon Kodo.
The webinar started with welcoming the guests and dignitaries present and presenting the profile of the speaker to the audience. Prof. Damani started his presentation with job trends and business as a career option. He then explained about the various stage of becoming an entrepreneur and talked about entrepreneurship management. Subsequently, he brought forth the required entrepreneurial traits like creativity, endurance and flexibility etc. described entrepreneurial journey. He also presented a number of interesting entrepreneurial examples.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dean SFC, Advisor to SFC, Deans of other schools, large number of faculty members of SFC and various other schools, students from all 5 programs of the school, and many external faculty members participated in the webinar. The session was throughout interactive and many questions were put by students as well as faculty members.
At the end a vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Nupur Mishra on behalf SFC to the speaker, dignitaries, students and faculty members for cooperation extended in making it a successful event. The event would not have been successful without the sincere effort put in by the Co-curricular team volunteers in organizing the event.
