School of Computing Science and Engineering organized Webinar on topic Coding Blocks - Competitive Programming: Segmented Sieve
COVID-19 has totally changed the lives of all the people of the world entirely. It has changed the dynamics in whole sense whether it is politically, economically and socially in all the aspects. The world is trying to fight with it but still we are facing a huge loss. We are looking in our houses following all the lockdown rules and just serving our nation as a citizen only.
At the time of Covid-19, students of Galgotias University are continuously organising webinars and being an integral part of it as well in order to make this lockdown super productive and anti-boring. Bhavya Dubey from Bachelors of Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Galgotias University interning at Coding Blocks took initiative to hold a webinar on 14th June 2020. The speaker for the same was Mr. Apaar Kamal.He has completed his engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. He was also a summer intern at Samsung R&D Institute and is currently a mentor at Coding Blocks. He is a very energetic and enthusiastic engineer by nature.
            He started by introducing himself, and also told about importance of C++ language. As the webinar moved forward, he also kept answering the queries of students on the side. He explained what is a sieve, a prime sieve and their time complexities along with the segmented sieve. The webinar had about 400 students participating at that time out of which about 85% students were from Galgotias University and rest from Universities from all over India. About 3200 people viewed this YouTube live later in time.
