The hospitality program students visited the flagship hotel of the Taj which was started by JRD TATA in the year 1903. Taj caters to 45 chartered flights. Taj boasts of 108 properties in the world in all the continents. The Aviation services of Taj are spread out in 7 cities, including, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, etc.
The tour through the whole property was shown by the Training and placement coordinator, Mr. Parthajit Roy who showed the 100% safety and precaution taken in the hygiene and cleanliness with the checking of the temperature and taste of the food being checked at all the levels.
The students were given lab coats and caps for the protection of the prepared food. The Trip was an eye opener as the amount of food and ready products being prepared and were dispatched at the earliest. Around 950 employees make this task possible. The Training Manager also offered training facilities for any student desiring the same.
