Webinar on "Living With COVID-19"

School of Medical & Allied Health Sciences( SMAS) , Galgotias University organized a webinar entitled "Living With COVID-19" on May 19, 2020.The webinar started at 5 pm .

Prof. Dr. P.K Sharma, Dean, SMAS and Dr. Rituraj Verma, Program Chair, Physiotherapy Department, SMAS welcomed the guests for the day.

With a special appearance in the webinar our Chief guest, Mr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University Overwhelmed the session.

The guest speakers were

Dr. CHINMAY GUPTA, MBBS, Fellowship(Clinical Cardiology), Director,Euronava Pharmaceuticals. He discussed the basic origin of Corona virus with its symptoms, assessment and management for the same.

Highlighting the awareness on the disease including the proper sanitation and social distancing.

Dr. Priya Matho invited the next speaker to share their valuable knowledge and information with the students ,Dr. SHILPI PAWAR, MBBS, RMO Shanti Gopal Hospital, shared her experience as a health care worker with the live COVID patients, the proper screening process and managing the situation with strength.

Next expert panel on the board was invited Dr. SACHIN RANA, MBBS,MS Ophthalomogy AIIMS. He shared his live experience of treating the COVID patients with mixed feelings of anxiety and strength as the first line health care warriors. He also shared the problems faced by health care workers with the PPE for their own precaution.

Prof Dr. VIVEK GUPTA, Head Cardiology, Apollo Hospital, Delhi also joined and added his valuable and very informative data on medicine hydroxychloroquine and the role of plasma therapy in treating COVID cases.

There was an interactive session by the participants and the students with the guest speakers on the common practices to be followed as a precaution and the future of the virus.

The session ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Sakshi Bansal to the guests speakers, the expert panelists and the participants.
