School of Media and Communication studies organised a webinar on opportunities in film making for digital platforms on 19 May 2020 at 1:00 PM. Professional film makers who were alumni of School of Media and Communication studies explained the opportunities and challenges of digital film making.
Film makers underline the struggle in early days. It was motivating for students this also give the confidence that they also can achieve their career goals.
They taught the students of journalism and mass communication that determination and hard work are the key role to what you want to become. Your focus decides everything. Manjeet Kumar given the importance of small assignments given by the faculty members. Projects and practical work are vital in career in film making. Pawan Sahni explained that how one can be creative and involved right from the start and do all the small-big projects of college nicely.
Gautam Azad points out the importance of networking in the field of film making. He asked the students to develop their skills and contacts as well, as it is very important.
Prateek Srivastava underline the that sometimes your family will not support, but if you have the confidence and determination towards your goal, and you enjoy the struggle, then you should just move forward as everything demands sacrifice in some or the other way. Manjeet candidly expressed the various technical terms like OOC,OCP. He informed the students about how films, web series etc are made in your favourite trending applications i.e. Netflix, Amazon, Hotstar, etc. How a solid makes through these aaps and a film is made.
This Webinar aimed to motivate the young minds of journalism and mass communication towards their career and guided them about how to achieve it through their experiences, struggle, knowledge, and practical realities. It was a fruitful interaction for the students of Galgotias University during the time of Covid-19.
The program is started with the opening remark by Dr. A Ram Pandey. Dr. Harish Kumar coordinated the whole event. Dr. Shuchi Yadav formally thanks all the participants. Active Participation of SMCS Faculty Dr. Tasha Singh, Dr. Bhawani Shankar, Ms. Suruchi Agarwal, Dr. Devbrat Tiwari, Niranjan Kumar, Dr. Narengbam Singh, Arun Sharma, Ankur Kumar and Mr. Maheep Singh made the program successful and interactive.
