School of Education organized a one-dayworkshop on "MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator)-Purpose, Career Projections and Implications" on February 7, 2020 in the university campus for B.Ed. and M.Ed. students. Dr. Shadab Ahmad Ansari from Department of Psychology, School of Liberal Education, Galgotias University conducted the workshop for the students. The purpose of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is to shed light on the beauty and endless possibilities of the human personality. The resource person explained the four dichotomies that make up the type indicator, 16 different personality archetypes, preferable careers for each type, as well as how to work with other types than your own. The goal of this test was to help us recognize our strengths and weakness which may lead to better group dynamics, more fulfilling relationships, and wiser choices. With use of this MBTI manual, students will be able to find great success whether it be in social situations, the workplace, at school, or with relatives. The workshop commenced with the introduction and welcoming of the resource person. The session included the orientation about the MBTI, its purpose, career projections and its implications. Administration, scoring and its interpretation was also elaborated extensively by the resource person. The workshop consisted of multiple components that was arranged to engage the interest of the participants. The facilitator used both instructional and experiential methods to enable the participants to meet the objectives of the workshop.
The workshop concluded with the vote of thanks to the resource person for conducting such an interactive session for B.Ed. and M.Ed. students.
