The Department of Clinical Research, School of Biological and Biomedical Sciences (SBBS), Galgotias University, Gr. Noida, has organized its first annual Science Fest (SciFest) - SuperBugs 2020 on Feb. 18, 2020. Total 85 students of School of Biological and Biomedical Sciences, School of law, School of nursing, school of basic and applied sciences, School of Medical and Allied Sciences, School of Computing Science & Engineering and school of Business as well as have been participated in the event. The event started with welcoming of chief guest Prof. (Dr.) Preeti Bajaj, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Galgotias University with classical dance performance by Ms. Snehil Mallick, 2nd year student of Clinical Research. The event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Preeti Bajaj, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor by lightening of the lamp. Prof. Ranjana Patnaik, Dean, SBBS, Dr. Gaurav Kumar, Convener of SuperBugs, Mr. Kaushalendra Kumar, Coordinator of the event along with Ms. Hema Kumari, Ms. Hima Dutta Baruah and Mr. Maharaj Koul were also lightened the lamp. Anchor of the Inauguration Session was done by Ms. Jaspreet Kaur Malhotra, Mr. Vansh Maheshwari, and Mr. Gaurav Dabas. Ms. Aafreen and Ms. Fouzia Farhat Akhtar briefed the gathering about the School of Biological and Biomedical Sciences. Prof. (Dr.) Preeti Bajaj, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, appreciated the organizers for organizing the event and suggested to All students of B.Sc. 2nd year performed a skit on evolving of SuperBugs leaded by Mr. Agrim Jain, Mr. Gaurav Dabas and Mr. Abhinay Mishra. After completion of skit, all participant along with faculties&rsquo members were taken the oath for cleanliness of the body and careful use of antibiotics. The SuperBugs SciFest comprises five competitive events i.e. Biohackathon, Whisper challenge, Poster presentation, Jenga and Enquizta. Ms. Shivali Nain and Ms. Sakshi Pandey assigned the topics for Biohackathon and poster presentation to the participant. All participant received participation certificate and winner and runner up received trophy along with certificate from Prof. Ranjana Patnaik, Dean, SBBS and Dr. Gaurav Kumar, Convener of the SuperBugs event.
The team of Sudhanshu Sawhney and Unnati Gupta, B.Sc. Forensic Science, School of Basic and Applied Sciences were received first prize in Biohackathon competition as well as team of Md Shahab Uddin Ansari, Md Iftekhar Alam, Sarvjeet Kumar, Pramod Kumar Jaiswal were received 2nd prize. Ms. Disha Gupta, School of Nursing won the first prize and Ms. Satakshi Singh won the second prize in the Innovator's Caravan competition. The winner of Enquizta competition was Sudhanshu Sawhney, School of Basic and Applied Sciences whereas Shashank, School of Law was runner up. Ms. Nancy Shrivastava won first prize and Ms. Ariba Imam won the second prize in Jung-E-Vyapaar competition. The winner of Whisper Challenge was Yash Nagaich & Azra and the runner up was Shashank & Aniket.
