Lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony organized by dean and faculties school of nursing on 11th feb 2020. Prof Bimla kapoor, chief guest of the programme highlighted the significance of lamp lighting ceremony. She explained that Lamp-lighting is a tradition followed by all Nursing graduates to remind them on the noble traditions of their profession. This tradition commemorates the heroine of nursing, Florence Nightingale, who was seen in the dark alleys with a lamp while caring for the injured soldiers of the Crimean War.
Dr Shikha seth was the guest of the honor and she spoke that cure of patient care cannot occur without care of the nurses. Nurses work with heart, soul and provide 24 hour care till the patients completely recover.
