Galgotias University's School of Hospitality organized a live workshop on "Creating Wow Factor for Guests" on Wednesday, 29th January 2020.
Mr.Vijay Wanchoo, Sr.Executive Vice President of hotel The Imperial, Connaught Place, New Delhi was the resource person. Mr. Wanchoo is a learned senior hospitality leader and is highly respected by hospitality fraternity.
He is an expert in customer service and has rendered his expertise to leading hotel brands in India and abroad.
He has initiated various procedures which have proved to be success mantras in customer satisfaction. He was welcomed by hotel management students as per Indian tradition with Tilak, Arti and Flowers. A Rangoli was also prepared at the entrance of &ldquoC Block&rdquo auditorium.
Mr. Wanchoo was introduced to the audience (to all SOH students and faculties), by Professor (Dr.) Onkar Nath Mehra, Dean-School of Hospitality and was formally welcomed by all students and faculties on the dias for the session.
He conducted a well planned session with power point presentation. He spoke about the importance of 'Thinking out of Box' for pleasing guests. He mentioned various incidents and situations of his career and shared golden rules of success in guest service and inducted the students with very important concepts such as PTB (Passing the Baton) and CTL (Close the Loop). He used interesting Videos and Pictures of services and guest experiences. 
The workshop was very interactive and involved interesting discussions with students and faculty. Mr. Wanchoo handled all queries of the students in a very interesting and effective manner, enhancing the situation handling and decision making abilities, also he encouraged them to contribute to the session. It was a unique learning and confidence building experience for our students.
Mr. Vijay Wanchoo virtually mesmerized the hospitality students by sharing his rich and long hotel experience and shared his insight for creating a WOW factor for guests, every time with an element of surprise.
As a token of gratitude, School of Hospitality presented a sapling and Memento to Mr. Vijya Wanchoo.
